About Me

Guide me in Paris is not your conventional Paris guide, it’s a collection of reviews and addresses of the most amazing Paris hotels including the smallest hotels with it’s two rooms, through to the cheapest and the most luxurious. I will also be looking at fantastic, inexpensive restaurants often hidden from the traditional tourist circuit and loads of hidden historical sites of great interest that you can visit for free!. For example, the Lutetia Arena where you can still see the lion cages or the oldest house in Paris or the natural spring waters in the Rue de la Pompe where you can stop and help yourself to a glass of cold spring water, as long as you bring a glass!.
I will also be organising regular competitions, so please add my site to your favourites.
Paris is also one of the most romantic cities in the world, if you would like some help in organising a trip, let me know and I will try and help.
About Me
Hi folks, my name is Daniel Windett and I am originally from West Sussex in the UK . I moved to Paris seventeen years ago. The main reason I moved to France was simply for a change of life style and of course the french cuisine, wine and probably a lot of childhood memories of family holidays.
I worked firstly for a very well known theme park. Six months later I decided to move on, and I was shortly after, given the opportunity to become a chauffeur for some very well known personalities. While working for the rich and famous you are invited to some very cool parties, which allowed me to discover all sorts of interesting restaurants, and hotels and of course some incredible historical sites that are really worth a visit, but rarely spoken about in your average Paris guide book. It then seemed only natural that I shared these deeply guarded Parisian secrets with you!. I hope that you enjoy my blog.
