For those of you that do not know what a brioche is, it’s basically a butter rich bread that originates from Gisor and Gournay in Normandy and not the Vendee as people often imagine. Gournay is also renowned for its very good quality butter. Brioche is believed to have been invented in the 16th century. There are various kinds if brioche but the best is the Praluline or it’s little sister the Pralusienne, that can only be found in Paris at ”François Pralus” 35 rue Rambuteau (Metro Rambuteau). Bois de Boulogne is a forest just outside of Paris, in the town of Neuilly sur Seine. The forest attracts all kinds of people from the rich and famous who are attracted to the Sunday afternoon stroll or attracted by the nice restaurants that can be found here, to the prostitutes and transsexuals who can be found mainly at night, hidden in the forest. The smallest street in Paris is called ‘Rue du Chat-qui-Pêche‘ (The Fishing Cat!) which is 29 metres long and 2.50 metres wide. It was opened to the public in 1540 and was originally called ‘Rue des Etuves’ and then shortly after renamed ‘Rue du Renard’. Le Pied de Cochon (The Pig’s Foot)

This great restaurant first opened it’s doors in 1946, it was built next to the biggest food market in France and therefor served good cheap meals 24 hours a day. Le Pied de Cochon is still open all day but unfortunately the food market has long gone. It still has managed to keep it’s excellent reputation.
